    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, Marguerite Johnson is retiring from the Fort Worth
    1-3  Independent School District at the close of the school year ending
    1-4  a remarkable career in education spanning 41 years; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, As teacher, principal, and administrator,
    1-6  Marguerite Johnson has devoted her adult life to the education
    1-7  of the schoolchildren of Texas; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, Her broad experience and versatility have been
    1-9  invaluable during her nine years as principal of Morningside
   1-10  Elementary School; and
   1-11        WHEREAS, She has carried out her duties with integrity and
   1-12  fairness while earning the admiration and respect of her colleagues,
   1-13  teachers, and students; and
   1-14        WHEREAS, Through her achievements and abilities, Marguerite
   1-15  has contributed immeasurably to the continuing development of the
   1-16  educational system of the Fort Worth Independent School District;
   1-17  and
   1-18        WHEREAS, Her 41 years as an educator have been marked by her
   1-19  dedication to her work and her wisdom in dealing with constant
   1-20  changes in the field of education; and
   1-21        WHEREAS, During her 36 years with the Fort Worth Independent
   1-22  School District, Marguerite Johnson served for 17 years as an
   1-23  administrator, and her legacy of excellence in all her endeavors
    2-1  will continue to inspire educators for many years to come; now,
    2-2  therefore, be it
    2-3        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-4  74th Legislature, hereby commend Marguerite Johnson for her
    2-5  invaluable contributions to her community and her state with best
    2-6  wishes for a most enjoyable and rewarding retirement; and, be it
    2-7  further
    2-8        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for this
    2-9  distinguished individual as an expression of the appreciation and
   2-10  high regard of the Texas Senate.
