No. 1079 1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION 1-2 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas takes pride in 1-3 recognizing Alta Rose Corbitt who is retiring after 36 years of 1-4 loyal service as a state employee; and 1-5 WHEREAS, Mrs. Corbitt began her successful career with 1-6 the state by working in the State Capitol building; she is now 1-7 retiring from her position in the Office of the Comptroller of 1-8 Public Accounts; and 1-9 WHEREAS, Over the years, Alta Rose Corbitt has handled her 1-10 responsibilities with exceptional skill and dedication; and 1-11 WHEREAS, During her tenure with the state, Mrs. Corbitt has 1-12 made many worthy contributions through her expertise, her hard 1-13 work, and her reliable judgment; and 1-14 WHEREAS, An exemplary lady with a warm personality, 1-15 Alta Rose Corbitt is beloved by her colleagues at work, and her 1-16 presence at the Office of the Comptroller of Public Accounts will 1-17 be greatly missed; now, therefore, be it 1-18 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 1-19 74th Legislature, hereby commend Alta Rose Corbitt for her many 1-20 years of distinguished service with the state and extend to her 1-21 best wishes for the retirement years ahead; and, be it further 1-22 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 1-23 her as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate. 2-1 ______________________________________ 2-2 President of the Senate 2-3 I hereby certify that the above 2-4 Resolution was adopted by the Senate 2-5 on May 16, 1995. 2-6 ______________________________________ 2-7 Secretary of the Senate 2-8 ______________________________________ 2-9 Member, Texas Senate
