    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, A 60th wedding anniversary is a splendid occasion
    1-3  and calls for much rejoicing; and
    1-4        WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Jasper Driskell have reason to rejoice;
    1-5  since their marriage, Verna and Jasper have spent 60 years together
    1-6  in loyalty and devotion; and
    1-7        WHEREAS, The family and friends of this beloved couple joined
    1-8  them on May 21, 1995, at an anniversary celebration to congratulate
    1-9  them and share in their warmth and joy; the event was hosted by
   1-10  their children; and
   1-11        WHEREAS, The loving respect Verna and Jasper share with one
   1-12  another is evident to all who are fortunate enough to know them;
   1-13  and
   1-14        WHEREAS, This happy couple has been blessed with a wonderful
   1-15  family; their children, Linda and Jim Butler, John Arlen and
   1-16  Kara Driskell, and Tommy and Jeanie Driskell have been the source
   1-17  of much enjoyment; now, therefore, be it
   1-18        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
   1-19  74th Legislature, hereby join the relatives and friends of
   1-20  Mr. and Mrs. Jasper Driskell in extending them best wishes and
   1-21  congratulations on their 60th wedding anniversary; and, be it
   1-22  further
   1-23        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-1  this distinguished couple as a memento of this grand occasion.
