    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, It is with great pride that the Texas Senate
    1-3  welcomes the members of the delegation from the City of Dalian,
    1-4  the People's Republic of China, on their visit to the capital of
    1-5  the Lone Star State on May 19, 1995; and
    1-6        WHEREAS, The members of the visiting delegation are
    1-7  executives of the Dalian Huaxing Import and Export Corporation
    1-8  and are business associates of Austinites John S. Avery and
    1-9  Ruth Ching Hsu; and
   1-10        WHEREAS, The Dalian Huaxing Import and Export Corporation
   1-11  is a major Chinese government-authorized import-export company
   1-12  seeking to conduct business with Texas and with the United States;
   1-13  and
   1-14        WHEREAS, The people of the State of Texas are honored to
   1-15  have these distinguished citizens of China visiting our state,
   1-16  and it is sincerely hoped their visit here is an enjoyable and
   1-17  productive one; now, therefore, be it
   1-18        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas hereby
   1-19  extend hospitality and a warm welcome to the following executives
   1-20  of the Dalian Huaxing Import and Export Corporation and declare
   1-21  them Honorary Texans with all attendant rights and privileges
   1-22  thereof:  Chen Changehun, manager; Li Changrong, assistant
   1-23  manager; Guan Zhongyuan, director; Lin Zexian, business manager;
    2-1  and Zhang Wanlin, assistant director; and, be it further
    2-2        RESOLVED, That copies of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-3  them as an expression of esteem from the Texas Senate.
