    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2                               In Memory
    1-3                                  of
    1-4                             Lucio Aleman
    1-5        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas was greatly
    1-6  saddened to learn of the loss of Lucio Aleman, who died in the
    1-7  recent disastrous bombing of the Oklahoma City federal building
    1-8  on April 19, 1995; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, Born in Sinton, Texas, Mr. Aleman attended Mathis
   1-10  High School in Mathis, Texas; and
   1-11        WHEREAS, He graduated from Bee County College with an
   1-12  associate degree in drafting and from Texas A&I University with
   1-13  a bachelor's degree in engineering; he was an engineer with the
   1-14  Federal Highway Administration; and
   1-15        WHEREAS, He was a devoted husband and father to his two
   1-16  children, Alynna, who is three years old, and Lucio Allen, who
   1-17  is five months old; and
   1-18        WHEREAS, His presence inspired affection and confidence in
   1-19  those around him; and
   1-20        WHEREAS, Lucio Aleman endeared himself to those who worked
   1-21  with him through his friendship and camaraderie; and
   1-22        WHEREAS, His wise counsel and sound judgment will be missed
   1-23  and remembered with gratitude by all those who knew and loved him;
    2-1  and
    2-2        WHEREAS, A respected member of his community, Lucio Aleman
    2-3  will be remembered for his dedication to his family and to his
    2-4  friends; now, therefore, be it
    2-5        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-6  74th Legislature, hereby extend sincere condolences to his bereaved
    2-7  family:  his wife, Gabriella Rodriguez Aleman; his children, Alynna
    2-8  and Lucio Allen; his parents, Lucio and Isabel Aleman; his sisters,
    2-9  Josefina Montes and Noemi Benavides; his mother-in-law,
   2-10  Hilda Rodriguez; and his brothers-in-law, Juan Rodriguez, Jr.,
   2-11  and Eloy Rodriguez; and, be it further
   2-12        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for his
   2-13  family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas Senate,
   2-14  and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in memory of
   2-15  Lucio Aleman.
