    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased
    1-3  to recognize Tranita Carroll on the occasion of her graduation
    1-4  from The University of Texas at Austin on May 20, 1995; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, A dedicated student, Tranita has completed the
    1-6  degree requirements for a bachelor of arts degree in English
    1-7  and is ready to enter the professional field of her choice;
    1-8  and
    1-9        WHEREAS, This bright young woman has worked diligently
   1-10  to earn her degree and has availed herself of every opportunity
   1-11  to further her education; her determination and hard work have
   1-12  resulted in Tranita accomplishing the goal she set for herself;
   1-13  and
   1-14        WHEREAS, During the interim of the 72nd legislative session,
   1-15  Tranita Carroll served as a Senate messenger, and she returned
   1-16  for the 73rd legislative session to work as the receptionist in
   1-17  Senator Rodney Ellis's office; and
   1-18        WHEREAS, During her tenure, Tranita displayed a willingness
   1-19  to work long hours and to apply herself to whatever task was
   1-20  given to her; her cheerfulness and ability to get along with her
   1-21  colleagues added to the smooth operation of the senator's office;
   1-22  and
   1-23        WHEREAS, Tranita's determination and her desire to achieve
    2-1  have brought a sense of fulfillment to the deserving graduate;
    2-2  she is understandably proud of her accomplishment; now, therefore,
    2-3  be it
    2-4        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-5  74th Legislature, hereby extend hearty congratulations to
    2-6  Tranita Carroll with all best wishes for a most rewarding and
    2-7  successful career; and, be it further
    2-8        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be presented to
    2-9  Miss Carroll as an expression of the admiration of the Texas Senate.
