    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2                               In Memory
    1-3                                  of
    1-4                        Rachel Kathleen Beasley
    1-5        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the friends
    1-6  and family of Rachel Kathleen Beasley of El Paso in mourning her
    1-7  death on May 7, 1995, at the age of 68; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, Mrs. Beasley was born August 5, 1926, in
    1-9  Hiawatha, Kansas; this beloved wife and mother had been a
   1-10  citizen of El Paso since 1967; and
   1-11        WHEREAS, A devout Catholic, Mrs. Beasley was a member of
   1-12  Saint Patrick's Cathedral Choir since 1980; her love of beauty
   1-13  showed itself in her membership in the El Paso Garden Club, of
   1-14  which she was a past president; and
   1-15        WHEREAS, Ever trusting in God and ever modest, Mrs. Beasley's
   1-16  selfless devotion to family provided a positive and inspiring
   1-17  influence in the lives of countless people, and she will be
   1-18  greatly missed; and
   1-19        WHEREAS, She provided unceasing support and comfort to others
   1-20  and was recognized as an outstanding member of the community; she
   1-21  won a unique place in the hearts of everyone who knew her; now,
   1-22  therefore, be it
   1-23        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-1  74th Legislature, hereby express sincere condolences to
    2-2  her family:  her husband, Kenneth E. Beasley; her children,
    2-3  Kenneth E. Beasley III and Martha Beasley, Russell W. Beasley and
    2-4  Linda Beasley, and Ronald W. Beasley and Ariane Beasley; and her
    2-5  grandchildren, Alicia Beasley, Kenneth Beasley IV, Kristina Beasley,
    2-6  and Wendy Beasley; and, be it further
    2-7        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for her
    2-8  family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas Senate,
    2-9  and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in memory of
   2-10  Rachel Kathleen Beasley.
