    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2                               In Memory
    1-3                                  of
    1-4                              Joan Eagan
    1-5        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas joins the family
    1-6  and friends of Joan Eagan of Lubbock in mourning her passing on
    1-7  May 3, 1995; and
    1-8        WHEREAS, Born January 13, 1930, in Flint, Michigan, this
    1-9  beloved wife and mother had long been a citizen of Texas, having
   1-10  married Don Eagan on February 25, 1951, in Littlefield; this devoted
   1-11  couple raised a son and daughter in their warm circle of friends
   1-12  old and new, giving unstintingly of their friendship and support
   1-13  and providing a positive influence on the lives of countless people;
   1-14  and
   1-15        WHEREAS, Endowed with a strong Christian faith, Joan Eagan
   1-16  was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church, where her
   1-17  absence will be keenly felt; and
   1-18        WHEREAS, A woman of unquestioned ability and integrity,
   1-19  Mrs. Eagan was a member of the Forms Manufacturers Credit Exchange
   1-20  and retired from Caprock Business Forms in 1991; she was awarded
   1-21  the distinguished honor of being named Credit Professional of the
   1-22  Year in 1988; all who worked with her admired her perseverance, her
   1-23  high performance, and her teamwork; and
    2-1        WHEREAS, This outstanding woman did not shrink from life's
    2-2  challenges, but met them with the character and dignity which earned
    2-3  her so much success and respect; and
    2-4        WHEREAS, She provided unceasing support and comfort to others
    2-5  and was recognized as an outstanding member of the community; she
    2-6  won a unique place in the hearts of everyone who knew her; now,
    2-7  therefore, be it
    2-8        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-9  74th Legislature, hereby express sincere condolences to the members
   2-10  of her family:  her husband, Don Eagan; her daughter, Donna Eagan;
   2-11  her son, Chris Eagan; and her brother, Jack Price; and, be it further
   2-12        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for her
   2-13  family as an expression of deepest sympathy from the Texas Senate,
   2-14  and that when the Senate adjourns this day, it do so in memory of
   2-15  Joan Eagan.
