    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased
    1-3  to recognize Michael William Wayne Puryear on the momentous
    1-4  occasion of his graduation from high school; and
    1-5        WHEREAS, He has made an "A" average in all of the subjects
    1-6  required of a Texas high school student including American history,
    1-7  algebra, English, physical science, biology, chemistry, physics,
    1-8  government, economics, and Latin; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, Michael has proved himself to be diligent and
   1-10  hardworking; and
   1-11        WHEREAS, Michael has achieved high honors from the
   1-12  National Merit Foundation, achieving National Merit Finalist rank
   1-13  and ranking in the top one-half of one percent of the nation; and
   1-14        WHEREAS, He has achieved his high school education with
   1-15  honors through home schooling under the direction of his parents,
   1-16  Michael and Joanne Puryear, and he is truly a shining example to
   1-17  all who know him; and
   1-18        WHEREAS, It is a pleasure for the Texas Senate to pay
   1-19  tribute to the accomplishments of this young gentleman who has
   1-20  equipped himself with skills which will enable him to take full
   1-21  advantage of all that the future holds for him; and
   1-22        WHEREAS, Michael has met his goal and is now sent out to
   1-23  fulfill God's good, pleasing, and perfect will and purpose; now,
    2-1  therefore, be it
    2-2        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-3  74th Legislature, hereby commend and applaud the achievement
    2-4  of this distinguished young Texan; and, be it further
    2-5        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-6  Michael William Wayne Puryear as an expression of admiration from
    2-7  the Texas Senate with best wishes for much success in the years to
    2-8  come.
