No. 1178 1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION 1-2 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is pleased to 1-3 recognize Debbie Rollo, who received an award at the second 1-4 annual Education Appreciation Banquet sponsored by the Houston 1-5 County Chamber of Commerce on April 21, 1995; and 1-6 WHEREAS, Speaker at the banquet was retired United States 1-7 Army Colonel Howard Daniel, Jr., owner of Personal Development 1-8 Specialist Company of Livingston, who told the audience that 1-9 today's young people need teachers to be role models and to give 1-10 students more positive reinforcement now than ever before; and 1-11 WHEREAS, Debbie Rollo was honored at the awards ceremonies 1-12 in recognition of her exceptional devotion to her profession; and 1-13 WHEREAS, The students of the Lovelady Independent School 1-14 District have benefitted immeasurably from the caring spirit of 1-15 this dynamic educator who has given generously of her time and 1-16 talent; and 1-17 WHEREAS, Debbie is a talented instructor and leader, and 1-18 she instills in her students a sense of pride and a lifelong 1-19 love of learning; and 1-20 WHEREAS, An exceptionally resourceful and dedicated teacher, 1-21 she is an enthusiastic educator who has distinguished herself in 1-22 her profession and who has imparted to her students the skills 1-23 necessary for competing in tomorrow's society; now, therefore, 2-1 be it 2-2 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 2-3 74th Legislature, hereby commend Debbie Rollo of Lovelady for 2-4 her contributions to the educational system of Texas and extend 2-5 congratulations to her on receiving this distinguished award; 2-6 and, be it further 2-7 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for 2-8 Debbie as an expression of the high regard and esteem of the 2-9 Texas Senate. 2-10 ______________________________________ 2-11 President of the Senate 2-12 I hereby certify that the above 2-13 Resolution was adopted by the Senate 2-14 on May 24, 1995. 2-15 ______________________________________ 2-16 Secretary of the Senate 2-17 ______________________________________ 2-18 Member, Texas Senate
