No. 1180 1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION 1-2 In Memory 1-3 of 1-4 Gentry Paul Neubauer 1-5 WHEREAS, It is with great sorrow that the Texas Senate noted 1-6 the passing of outstanding civic leader Gentry Paul Neubauer, who 1-7 died Saturday, April 22, 1995, in Lovelady, at the age of 80; and 1-8 WHEREAS, Mr. Neubauer was born May 5, 1914, and was an Army 1-9 veteran of World War II who had lived in Houston County since 1942; 1-10 a man of ability and unquestioned integrity, Mr. Neubauer made his 1-11 living largely in ranching and provided service and leadership to 1-12 Lovelady and the vicinity in numerous ways; he had been elected 1-13 president of myriad community organizations, including the 1-14 Parent-Teacher Association, the South Houston County Industrial 1-15 Foundation, the Lovelady Lions Club, the Lovelady Athletic Booster 1-16 Club, and the Houston County Singing Convention; he was a past Boy 1-17 Scout Leader, past Commissioner of Houston County, Precinct 3, and 1-18 past administrative assistant of the Houston County Hospital; and 1-19 WHEREAS, A man of strong Christian faith, Mr. Neubauer 1-20 worshipped at Pearson Chapel Baptist Church, where he was a deacon 1-21 and a trustee; his sincerity, dedication, and good fellowship will 1-22 be greatly missed, yet his memory will not be forgotten; and 1-23 WHEREAS, A devoted husband and father, he was a source of 2-1 great strength, encouragement, and pride to his wife, children, and 2-2 extended family, and he provided a positive and inspiring influence 2-3 in the lives of countless people; now, therefore, be it 2-4 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas, 2-5 74th Legislature, hereby express sincere condolences to the 2-6 members of his family: his wife, Lillian Knox Neubauer; his 2-7 children, John Neubauer and Phyllis Neubauer, Jack Neubauer, 2-8 and Jim Dan Neubauer and Brenda Neubauer; and his grandchildren, 2-9 Wesley Neubauer, Garrett Neubauer, Samara Jo Neubauer, and 2-10 Cassie Neubauer; and, be it further 2-11 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for the 2-12 family of Gentry Paul Neubauer as an expression of deepest sympathy 2-13 from the Texas Senate, and that when the Senate adjourns this day, 2-14 it do so in memory of Gentry Paul Neubauer. 2-15 ______________________________________ 2-16 President of the Senate 2-17 I hereby certify that the above 2-18 Resolution was adopted by the Senate 2-19 on May 24, 1995, by a rising vote. 2-20 ______________________________________ 2-21 Secretary of the Senate 2-22 ______________________________________ 2-23 Member, Texas Senate
