    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Texas, That
    1-3  Senate Rules 12.03 and 12.04 be suspended in part, as provided by
    1-4  Senate Rule 12.08, to enable consideration of and action on the
    1-5  following specific matters which may be contained in the Conference
    1-6  Committee Report on H.B. No. 1.
    1-7  1.  Salary Policy
    1-8        A.  The Conference Committee Report does not provide for an
    1-9            across-the-board salary increase for the 1996-97
   1-10            biennium.  The Conference Committee Report does establish
   1-11            a classification schedule for agency directors.
   1-12        3.  On page X-7 of the House version and page X-7 of the
   1-13  Senate version, Retirement and Group Insurance, modify the amounts
   1-14  in Strategy A.1.2. as follows:
   1-15                                             1996            1997    
   1-16          A.1.2. Strategy:
   1-17          GROUP INSURANCE                $  6,929,023    $  6,975,787
   1-18        This action will allow the Conference Committee to reduce
   1-19  appropriations for employee group insurance contributions based on
   1-20  a reduction in group insurance premiums.
