1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION
1-2 WHEREAS, The Senate of the State of Texas is proud to
1-3 recognize Mark D. Laack on achieving the rank of Eagle Scout; this
1-4 fine young man joined the elite corps of Eagles recently and was
1-5 presented the coveted Eagle Badge at a Court of Honor; and
1-6 WHEREAS, Few achieve this distinguished honor; only two out
1-7 of every 100 boys in the Boy Scout program ever attain the rank of
1-8 Eagle Scout; and
1-9 WHEREAS, Following the principles of the Scout oath and
1-10 promise, Mark advanced through the ranks of Tenderfoot, Second,
1-11 First, Star, and Life classes before reaching Eagle Scout; and
1-12 WHEREAS, This personable young man has displayed leadership
1-13 through planning, developing, and conducting a service project; he
1-14 is truly a shining example to his fellow Scouts and citizens of his
1-15 community; and
1-16 WHEREAS, In being named Eagle Scout, this dedicated member
1-17 of Troop 238 brings great honor to himself, his family, his troop,
1-18 his community, and his state; now, therefore, be it
1-19 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
1-20 74th Legislature, hereby commend Mark D. Laack on receiving
1-21 this prestigious honor and congratulate him on his outstanding
1-22 achievement; and, be it further
1-23 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
2-1 Eagle Scout Laack as an expression of high regard and esteem
2-2 from the Texas Senate.
