1-1 SENATE RESOLUTION
1-2 WHEREAS, The citizens of Jim Wells County have benefitted
1-3 greatly from the dedicated service of County Judge L. Arnoldo Saenz,
1-4 and the Texas Senate is proud to commend him for his contributions
1-5 to the welfare and development of the county; and
1-6 WHEREAS, Throughout his distinguished career, Judge Saenz has
1-7 earned the admiration and respect of his colleagues and has devoted
1-8 countless hours to community endeavors; and
1-9 WHEREAS, A graduate of Premont High School, Judge Saenz
1-10 received a bachelor of business administration degree from
1-11 Texas A&I University in Kingsville while serving as City Secretary
1-12 of the City of Premont; he became Assistant County Auditor in 1978
1-13 and served in that capacity for 10 years before becoming County
1-14 Auditor of Jim Wells County in 1989; after working at that important
1-15 post for five years, he was elected County Judge on January 1, 1995;
1-16 and
1-17 WHEREAS, The varied and worthwhile achievements of this
1-18 outstanding public servant in the areas of civic improvement have
1-19 contributed to the steady progress of the county; and
1-20 WHEREAS, Freely sharing his knowledge with others,
1-21 Judge Saenz is Emergency Management Coordinator of Jim Wells County
1-22 and serves on the board of directors of REAL, Incorporated, and
1-23 Alice Boys Club; he also devotes his time to his community as a
2-1 member of the executive board of Coastal Bend Council of Governments
2-2 and Rural Coastal Bend PIC; and
2-3 WHEREAS, Highly respected for his honesty and integrity,
2-4 Judge Saenz has been diligent and capable in the performance of his
2-5 duties and has received the admiration and gratitude of those who
2-6 work with him; now, therefore, be it
2-7 RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
2-8 74th Legislature, hereby express its gratitude to County Judge
2-9 L. Arnoldo Saenz for his vital and inspiring leadership; and, be
2-10 it further
2-11 RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
2-12 L. Arnoldo Saenz as an expression of the high regard of the
2-13 Texas Senate.
