    1-1                           SENATE RESOLUTION
    1-2        WHEREAS, The citizens of Willacy County have benefitted
    1-3  greatly from the dedicated service of County Judge Simon Salinas,
    1-4  and the Texas Senate is proud to commend him for his contributions
    1-5  to the welfare and development of the county; and
    1-6        WHEREAS, Throughout his distinguished career, Judge Salinas
    1-7  has earned the admiration and respect of his colleagues and has
    1-8  devoted countless hours to community endeavors; and
    1-9        WHEREAS, Judge Salinas has had a notable career in public
   1-10  service; he served eight years on the Commissioner's Court, nine
   1-11  years as a trustee for Liffertt Consolidated School District, and
   1-12  nine years with Sebastian Water Corporation; and
   1-13        WHEREAS, The varied and worthwhile achievements of this
   1-14  outstanding public servant in the areas of civic improvement have
   1-15  contributed to the steady progress of the county; and
   1-16        WHEREAS, He has freely shared his knowledge with others and
   1-17  the citizens of Willacy County have benefitted from the wisdom and
   1-18  generosity of this tireless public official; and
   1-19        WHEREAS, Highly respected for his honesty and integrity,
   1-20  Judge Salinas has been diligent and capable in the performance of
   1-21  his duties and has received the admiration and gratitude of those
   1-22  who work with him; now, therefore, be it
   1-23        RESOLVED, That the Senate of the State of Texas,
    2-1  74th Legislature, hereby express its gratitude to County Judge
    2-2  Simon Salinas for his vital and inspiring leadership; and, be it
    2-3  further
    2-4        RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution be prepared for
    2-5  County Judge Salinas as an expression of the high regard of the
    2-6  Texas Senate.
