                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Texas, 74th
    1-2  Legislature, Regular Session, 1995, That Senate Rule 12.03 be
    1-3  suspended in part as provided by Senate Rule 12.08 to enable the
    1-4  conference committee appointed to resolve the differences on Senate
    1-5  Bill No. 840 to consider and take action on the following matter:
    1-6        Senate Rule 12.03(4) is suspended to permit the committee to
    1-7  add the text in SECTION 4 of the bill to read as follows:
    1-8        SECTION 4.  If S.B. No. 1, Acts of the 74th Legislature,
    1-9  Regular Session, 1995, is enacted and becomes law, Sections 46.11
   1-10  and 46.12, Penal Code, as added by S.B. No. 1, have no effect and
   1-11  are repealed.
   1-12        Explanation:  This change is necessary to repeal Sections
   1-13  46.11 and 46.12, Penal Code, as added by S.B. No. 1, Acts of the
   1-14  74th Legislature, Regular Session, 1995, which contain conflicting
   1-15  provisions relating to weapon-free zones.
