     1-11           Subdivision (4), Senate Rule 12.03, is suspended to permit
     1-12     the committee to add new Subsection (d) to amended Section 1.09,
     1-13     Chapter 626, Acts of the 73rd Legislature, Regular Session, 1993,
     1-14     to read as follows:
     1-15           (d)  Sections 41.003 and 41.008, Election Code, do not apply
     1-16     to an election held under this article.
     1-17           Explanation:  The addition is necessary to allow board
     1-18     elections to be held on the uniform election date in November in
     1-19     even-numbered years.
