                                  R E S O L U T I O N
    1-1        WHEREAS, Subchapter B, Chapter 301, Government Code,
    1-2  authorizes each house of the legislature to create a general
    1-3  investigating committee having the powers described therein; now,
    1-4  therefore, be it
    1-5        RESOLVED by the Senate of the State of Texas, 74th
    1-6  Legislature, That Article XV, Rules of the Senate, 74th
    1-7  Legislature, be amended by adding Rule 15.06 to read as follows:
    1-8              EXECUTIVE SESSION AND RECORDS OF COMMITTEE
    1-9        Rule 15.06.  (a)  The General Investigating Committee may
   1-10  meet in executive session when ordered by a majority vote of the
   1-11  membership of that committee.
   1-12        (b)  Notwithstanding any other provision of these rules,
   1-13  records of the General Investigating Committee pertaining to a
   1-14  matter are not subject to public inspection or disclosure while the
   1-15  matter is being investigated by the committee or by another
   1-16  governmental entity.
