In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No.
22 (relating to a discount on motor vehicle insurance premiums
for certain students based on academic achievement) this office
has determined the following:

The bill would provide a discount on motor vehicle insurance
premiums for certain students based on academic achievement. 
Under the provisions of the bill, the commissioner of insurance
would be required to set the amount of the applicable discounts
and prescribe by rule the manner in which information would be
submitted to the Department by insurers relating to ineligibility
and revocation of discounts.


No significant fiscal implication to the State or units of local
government is anticipated.
