In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No.
44 (relating to the creation of offenses intended to limit access
by children to certain firearms and to firearms safety education
for schoolchildren) this office has determined the following:

The bill would amend the Penal Code by creating offenses intended
to limit access by children to certain firearms.  The bill would
also amend the Code of Criminal Procedure by making available to
the court certain requirements that must be met as a condition of
community supervision.


No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The fiscal implication to  units of local government cannot be
determined.
