In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No.
137 (Relating to the liability of certain persons for the conduct
of a child.) this office has determined the following:

The bill would expand liability attributable to a parent,
guardian, or caretaker of a child to include personal injury or
death.  In addition, the bill increases the amount of recovery
for actual damages from $15,000 to $25,000.


No significant fiscal implication to the State or units of local
government is anticipated.
