In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No.
142 (Relating to the identification and legislative review of
unfunded mandates on political subdivisions.) this office has
determined the following:

The bill would create the Unfunded Mandates Interagency Work
Group to identify and review unfunded mandates and report to the
Legislature.

It is assumed that the prohibition on compensation to the
Comptroller, State Auditor, Director of the Legislative Budget
Board, and the Director of the Sunset Advisory Commission is
intended only to prohibit additional compensation for service on
the Unfunded Mandates Interagency Work Group. 

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is
anticipated.
