LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas
FISCAL NOTE
74th Regular Session
February 22, 1995
TO: Honorable Clyde Alexander, Chair IN RE: House Bill No. 247
Committee on Transportation By: Gutierrez
House of Representatives
Austin, Texas
FROM: John Keel, Director
In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No.
247 (Relating to armed forces license plates.) this office has
determined the following:
The bill would make no appropriation but could provide the legal
basis for an appropriation of funds to implement the provisions
of the bill.
The bill would allow a qualified person to be issued two sets of
license plates instead of the current one set for various armed
forces license plates.
The probable fiscal implication of implementing the provisions of
the bill during each of the first five years following passage
is estimated as follows:
Fiscal Probable Cost Probable Revenue Probable Revenue
Year Out of State Gain to the Loss to the
Highway Fund State Highway State Highway
006 Fund 006 Fund 006
1996 $131,048 $18,555 $300,545
1997 92,087 18,555 300,545
1998 92,087 18,555 300,545
Fiscal Probable Revenue Change in
Year Loss to Local Number of
Governments State
Employees
from FY 1995
1996 $148,074 .0
1997 148,074 .0
1998 148,074 .0
1999 92,087 18,555 300,545 148,074 .0
2000 92,087 18,555 300,545 148,074 .0
Similar annual fiscal implications would continue as long as the
provisions of the bill are in effect.
