In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No.
256 (relating to the establishment and operation of a domestic
relations office; providing a penalty) this office has determined
the following:

This bill would authorize a commissioners court to establish a
domestic relations office and would require the establishment of
such an office in counties having a population of 1,000,000 or
more.  The bill would also establish the duties and powers of a
domestic relations office.


No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The fiscal implication to units of local government cannot be
determined.
