FISCAL NOTE
74th Regular Session
March 12, 1995
TO: Honorable Senfronia Thompson, Chair IN RE: House Bill No. 273
Committee on Judicial Affairs By: Pitts
House of Representatives
Austin, Texas
FROM: John Keel, Director
In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No.
273 (relating to the creation of a judicial district composed of
Ellis County) this office has determined the following:
The bill would make no appropriation but could provide the legal
basis for an appropriation of funds to implement the provisions
of the bill.
The bill would create the 378th Judicial District to be composed
of Ellis County.
The probable fiscal implication of implementing the provisions of
the bill during each of the first five years following passage
is estimated as follows:
Fiscal Probable Cost Out Cost to
Year of General Ellis County
Revenue
Fund 001
1996 $102,041 $49,400
1997 102,041 49,400
1998 102,041 49,400
1999 102,041 49,400
2000 102,041 49,400
Similar annual fiscal implications would continue as long as the
provisions of the bill are in effect.
