LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD Austin, Texas FISCAL NOTE 74th Regular Session February 21, 1995 TO: Honorable Irma Rangel, Chair IN RE: House Bill No. 288 Committee on Higher Education By: Bailey House of Representatives Austin, Texas FROM: John Keel, Director In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No. 288 (Relating to the right of junior college district employees voluntarily to designate a portion of their earned income to certain organizations) this office has determined the following: The bill would authorize an employee of a community/junior college district to authorize a deduction from the employee's salary or wage payment for a contribution to a professional organization and would establish such procedures. The bill would authorize the district to charge the employee an administrative fee to recover the cost of processing the deduction.
