LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD
Austin, Texas
FISCAL NOTE
74th Regular Session
February 21, 1995
TO: Honorable Irma Rangel, Chair IN RE: House Bill No. 288
Committee on Higher Education By: Bailey
House of Representatives
Austin, Texas
FROM: John Keel, Director
In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No.
288 (Relating to the right of junior college district employees
voluntarily to designate a portion of their earned income to
certain organizations) this office has determined the following:
The bill would authorize an employee of a community/junior
college district to authorize a deduction from the employee's
salary or wage payment for a contribution to a professional
organization and would establish such procedures. The bill would
authorize the district to charge the employee an administrative
fee to recover the cost of processing the deduction.
No fiscal implication to the State or units of local government
is anticipated.
