In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No.
427 (Relating to the exclusion from coverage under the Texas
Unemployment Compensation Act of services performed by certain
securities representatives.) this office has determined the
following:

The bill would add a new section to the Labor Code to exclude
services performed by certain securities representatives from the
definition of employment that is covered under the Texas
Unemployment Compensation Act.  Securities representatives that
meet the criteria of the new section would not be eligible to
receive unemployment insurance benefits.


No significant fiscal implication to the State or units of local
government is anticipated.
