In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No.
585 (Relating to hospital staff privileges for doctors of
medicine and doctors of osteopathic medicine.) this office has
determined the following:

The bill would provide that hospitals may not discriminate with
respect to staff privileges against a physician licensed on the
basis of holding a degree of doctor of osteopathic medicine
instead of a doctor of medicine.


No fiscal implication to the State or units of local government
is anticipated.
