LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD Austin, Texas FISCAL NOTE 74th Regular Session February 13, 1995 TO: Honorable Hugo Berlanga, Chair IN RE: House Bill No. 669 Committee on Public Health By: Gutierrez House of Representatives Austin, Texas FROM: John Keel, Director In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No. 669 (Relating to the quarantine of rabid animals.) this office has determined the following: The bill would prescribe upper and lower limits for the period of quarantine set by the Board of Health. The bill would require veterinarians to submit animals for quarantine that are in the veterinarian's possession and that the veterinarian knows or suspects to be rabid or have exposed an individual to rabies.
