FROM: John Keel, Director

In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No.
669 (Relating to the quarantine of rabid animals.) this office
has determined the following:

The bill would prescribe upper and lower limits for the period of
quarantine set by the Board of Health. The bill would require
veterinarians to submit animals for quarantine that are in the
veterinarian's possession and that the veterinarian knows or
suspects to be rabid or have exposed an individual to rabies.

No fiscal implication to the State or units of local government
is anticipated.
