In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No.
771 (relating to the exclusion of certain nursing homes from the
definition of health care provider for purposes of professional
liability insurance coverage) this office has determined the
following:

The bill would exclude not-for-profit nursing homes from the
definition of "Health Care Providers" under Insurance Code
provisions relating to medical malpractice.


No fiscal implication to the State or units of local government
is anticipated.
