FROM: John Keel, Director

In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No.
785 (Relating to the regulation of manufactured housing.) this
office has determined the following:

The bill would make no appropriation but could provide the legal
basis for an appropriation of funds to implement the provisions
of the bill.

The bill would allow the Commissioner of Licensing and Regulation
to require continuing education for manufactured housing
registrants. In addition, the bill would amend provisions
relating to commissioner approved third party safety inspections.

The probable fiscal implication of implementing the provisions of
the bill during each of the first five years following passage
is estimated as follows:

Fiscal Probable Cost Out Probable Revenue
Year of General Gain to General
Revenue Fund 001 Revenue Fund 001

          1996 $33,877 $36,000

          1997 33,877 36,000
          1998 31,480 36,000

         1999 31,480 36,000

         2000 31,480 36,000

Similar annual fiscal implications would continue as long as the
provisions of the bill are in effect.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is
anticipated.
