LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD Austin, Texas FISCAL NOTE 74th Regular Session March 26, 1995 TO: Honorable Harvey Hilderbran, Chair IN RE: House Bill No. 869 Committee on Human Services By: Maxey House of Representatives Austin, Texas FROM: John Keel, Director In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No. 869 (Relating to coordinated delivery of health and human services programs.) this office has determined the following: The bill would make no appropriation but could provide the legal basis for an appropriation of funds to implement the provisions of the bill. The bill would require the Health and Human Services Commission to consider priorities and plans submitted by governmental entities that coordinate the delivery of health and human services in different regions, counties, and cities as part of its strategic planning process. The bill would direct the Commission to assist such governmental entities as part of its strategic planning process. The bill would direct the Commission to assist such governmental entities to implement a coordinated health and human services plan. The bill would implement parts of Gaining Ground Recommendation HHS 5. No significant fiscal implication to the State or units of local government is anticipated.
