In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No.
897 (Relating to the regulation of podiatry.) this office has
determined the following:

The bill would define confidentiality and privilege requirements
related to the practice of podiatric medicine. The bill would
also specify that a licensed podiatrist may participate in and
provide podiatry services on behalf of any health organization
approved by the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners under
Section 5.01, Medical Practice Act.

No fiscal implication to the State or units of local government
is anticipated.
