Oliveira, Chair IN RE: House Bill No. 1030 Committee on Economic Development By: Oliveira House of Representatives Austin, Texas FROM: John Keel, Director In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No. 1030 (Relating to extended benefits for unemployment compensation.) this office has determined the following: The bill would amend Section 209.041, Labor Code to provide that an unemployment insurance claimant must have earned base period wages of at least 40 times the claimant's weekly benefit amount or 1-1/2 times the claimant's high quarter wages to qualify for extended benefits.
