In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No.
1030 (Relating to extended benefits for unemployment
compensation.) this office has determined the following:

The bill would amend Section 209.041, Labor Code to provide that
an unemployment insurance claimant must have earned base period
wages of at least 40 times the claimant's weekly benefit amount
or 1-1/2 times the claimant's high quarter wages to qualify for
extended benefits.

No fiscal implication to the State or units of local government
is anticipated.
