In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No.
1144 (relating to workers' compensation insurance coverage for
certain volunteer emergency medical technicians) this office has
determined the following:

The bill would require certain counties to provide workers'
compensation insurance coverage to volunteer emergency medical
personnel.

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The fiscal implication to units of local government cannot be
determined.
