LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD Austin, Texas FISCAL NOTE 74th Regular Session February 28, 1995 TO: Honorable Edmund Kuempel, Chair IN RE: House Bill No. 1318 Committee on State Recreational By: Kuempel Resources House of Representatives Austin, Texas FROM: John Keel, Director In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No. 1318 (Relating to an exemption from the sand and gravel permitting process for disturbances of marl, sand, gravel, shell, and mudshell entities under a water rights use permit for noncommercial purposes.) this office has determined the following: The bill would exempt entities from the requirements of Chapter 86 of the Parks and Wildlife Code for disturbing or taking marl, sand, gravel, shell and mudshell for noncommercial purposes when such disturbances or takings occur while exercising a water rights use permit. This would result in a loss of application fees for exempted activities, which would vary from year to year, depending on which entities claim exemption under the bill.
