LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD Austin, Texas FISCAL NOTE 74th Regular Session March 21, 1995 TO: Honorable Hugo Berlanga, Chair IN RE: House Bill No. 1366 Committee on Public Health By: Dutton House of Representatives Austin, Texas FROM: John Keel, Director In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No. 1366 (Relating to information in county records and on death certificates concerning places in which remains are interred; providing criminal penalties.) this office has determined the following: The bill would require cemetery associations to file copies of the records of each interment in a cemetery with the county clerk and would require the Department of Health to include the name of the place and location of the plot in which a person's remains will be interred on death and fetal death certificates. There would be some cost to local governments to file records required by this bill, but those costs cannot be determined. No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
