In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No.
1408 (Relating to purchasing, storing or transporting certain
drugs for the purpose of administering to home health and hospice
patients.) this office has determined the following:

The bill would eliminate the requirement for home and community
support services agencies to be licensed by the Texas State Board
of Pharmacy as Class F Pharmacies in order to possess certain
items, such as sterile water and sterile saline, defined as
dangerous drugs.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is
anticipated.

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
