In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No.
1433 (relating to the eligibility for release on mandatory
supervision of certain inmates of the institutional division of
the Texas Department of Criminal Justice) this office has
determined the following:

The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure by requiring
prisoners eligible for release to mandatory supervision to be
subject to review by a parole panel.  The bill would also expand
the class of offenders who are ineligible for mandatory
supervision.

The probable fiscal implication of implementing the provisions of
the bill during each of the first  five years following passage
is estimated as follows:

provisions of the bill are in effect.
 
No fiscal implication to units of local government is
anticipated.
