In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No.
1472 (relating to certain insurance coverage available through
the Texas Automobile Insurance Plan Association) this office has
determined the following:

The bill would amend the Insurance Code to allow a person to be
eligible for coverage through the Texas Automobile Insurance Plan
Association regardless of that person's coverage by excess
automobile liability insurance.

The Department of Insurance would anticipate modification of
publications relating to automobile insurance, but such changes
can be addressed without significant additional cost.


No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is
anticipated.
