In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No.
1593 (Relating to payment for the proceeds of oil or gas
production.) this office has determined the following:

The bill would amend the statute to change the requirements for
issuance of minimal royalty payment checks. The threshold for
disbursement of royalty checks would be raised from $25 to $100,
or 12 months' proceeds accumulation, regardless of the amount of
royalties accumulated.


No fiscal implication to the State or units of local government
is anticipated.
