In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No.
1689 (Relating to training for members of the governing boards of
public institutions of higher education) this office has
determined the following:

The bill would amend V.T.C.A., Education Code, Sections 61.083(a)
and (b) regarding training of members of governing boards of
institutions of higher education.  Since board of regents
training is funded from private sources, no fiscal implication to
the state or local entities is anticipated.
