FROM: John Keel, Director

In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No.
1751 (Relating to the conveyance of a Texas Turnpike Authority
project.) this office has determined the following:

The bill would make no appropriation but could provide the legal
basis for an appropriation of funds to implement the provisions
of the bill.

The bill authorize conveyance of a turnpike authority to a
municipality in a county whose population is more than 100,000
and less than 200,000 and borders the Republic of Mexico

Section 12d(1) is also amended by adding municipality to the
entities that are considered successor agencies to the Texas
Turnpike Authority for purposes of Article III, Section 52-b, of
the Texas Constitution.

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The fiscal implication to units of local government cannot be
determined.
