In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No.
1770 (Relating to the ability of voters in certain counties to
petition a commissioners court to increase the salary of members
of the county sheriff's department.) this office has determined
the following:

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The fiscal implication to units of local government cannot be
