In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No.
1775 (Relating to permit and license requirements for the Texas
Low-Level Radioactive Waste Disposal Authority.) this office has
determined the following:

The bill would provide that a low-level radioactive waste
disposal license obtained by the Low Level Radioactive Waste
Disposal Authority would be wholly sufficient authorization to
dispose of radioactive waste, unless the Authority proposes to
dispose of mixed waste, then the Authority would be required to
obtain a solid waste disposal permit.  Assuming that the Texas
Natural Resource Conservation Commission would require the
Authority to obtain only one license, there would be no fiscal
impact.


No fiscal implication to the State or units of local government
is anticipated.
