LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD Austin, Texas FISCAL NOTE 74th Regular Session April 17, 1995 TO: Honorable John Smithee, Chair IN RE: Committee Substitute Committee on Insurance forHouse Bill House of Representatives No. 1933 Austin, Texas FROM: John Keel, Director In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No. 1933 (relating to the provision of infomration to the holders of certain insurance policies) this office has determined the following: The bill amends the Insurance Code to establish 30 days as the period in which a workers' compensation insurer must respond to a policy holder's request for a list of claims charged the policy and the payments on each claim and an explanation of the relationship claims and premium rates. The bill requires insurers to provide policy holders with a list of claims charged against the policy and the payments on each claim.
