FISCAL NOTE

TO: Honorable Edmund Kuempel, Chair IN RE: House Bill No. 1964
Committee on State Recreational By: Oakley
Resources
House of Representatives
Austin, Texas
FROM: John Keel, Director
In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No.
1964 (Relating to the issuance of permits by the Parks and
Wildlife Department for the conservation, protection, and
management of certain wildlife resources; providing penalties.)
this office has determined the following:
The bill would make no appropriation but could provide the legal
basis for an appropriation of funds to implement the provisions
of the bill.
The bill would amend certain sections of the Parks and Wildlife
Code related to the issuance of permits by the Parks and Wildlife
Department for the conservation, protection, and management of
certain wildlife resources and would also impose certain
penalties. Various provisions of the bill would result in a
revenue gain, however, the amount of revenue gain cannot be
determined.
No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is
anticipated.
The fiscal implication to the State cannot be determined.
