In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No.
1976 (Relating to the conveyance of certain state-owned real
property in Harris County to the city of Bellaire.) this office
has determined the following:

The bill would authorize the Department of Transportation to
convey, on behalf of the state, all interest of the state in
property developed by the City of Bellaire as a park. The bill
stipulates that the City of Bellaire would continue to use and
maintain the property as described by this Act as a public park. 

The estimated fair market value of the property, based on
appraisal estimates from the Houston District of the Department
of Transportation, is $320,000.
