In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No.
2027 (Relating to the regulation of tanning facilities; providing
civil and administrative penalties.) this office has determined
the following:

The bill would amend Chapter 145, Health and Safety Code,
relating to the regulation of tanning facilities and provides for
civil and administrative penalties. The bill clarifies a number
of provisions found in the Tanning Facility Regulations Act as
they relate to the use of tanning devices and provides for
uniformity with existing federal and state laws affecting these
devices. This bill subjects adult tanning facilities to the
requirements of Chapter 145, Health and Safety Code.

No fiscal implication to the State or units of local government
is anticipated.
