LEGISLATIVE BUDGET BOARD Austin, Texas FISCAL NOTE 74th Regular Session April 3, 1995 TO: Honorable Curtis Seidlits, Chair IN RE: House Bill No. 2032 Committee on State Affairs By: Uher House of Representatives Austin, Texas FROM: John Keel, Director In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No. 2032 (Relating to the administration of medical and dental units of public institutions of higher education.) this office has determined the following: The bill would authorize the medical and dental units of public higher education institutions to offer incentive retirement plans to employees. The incentives offered would be paid from institutional funds. This bill would also exempt the medical and dental units from General Service Commission regulations regarding purchases of goods and services. The medical and dental units would be authorized to purchase goods and services by any method that provided the best value. No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
