FROM: John Keel, Director

In response to your request for a Fiscal Note on House Bill No.
2032 (Relating to the administration of medical and dental units
of public institutions of higher education.) this office has
determined the following:

The bill would authorize the medical and dental units of public
higher education institutions to offer incentive retirement plans
to employees. The incentives offered would be paid from
institutional funds. This bill would also exempt the medical and
dental units from General Service Commission regulations
regarding purchases of goods and services. The medical and
dental units would be authorized to purchase goods and services
by any method that provided the best value.

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The fiscal implication to units of local government cannot be
determined.
